IIRC I basically wanted to be in the next wave of great filmmakers and essentially be independent. It would be nice to be remembered. Perhaps that's why I'm obsessed with archive.org - I have this idea that a descendent of mine might care to look me up one day ;-)

What I want is the respect and admiration of my peers. As you all know, my words and actions are not consistent with a person who wants everyone to like him. It is not enough to simply survive, or even prosper. I want to add something. I want the sum total of the actions of my life to be noteworthy. Is this a noble ambition? No, not really. This is who I am. Uncompromising, utterly honest and devoid of tact.

See, I try not to plan ahead- Cause in Film school I would have said something like in 2010 -I will win an Oscar for Best Picture ....
NOW, I see that Big Dreams can inspire ambition, but coupled with disappointment= Chip on shoulder.. So I figure -I give it what I got and let fate determin my legacy....

I'm gonna be older, fatter, balder but hopefully wiser. And I will have finished "The Corrections" by Jonathan Franzen. A truly shit and badly written book. But, I've started so i'll finish.

And dont I sound like such an annoying teenager at that. The jist of my plan remains the same however. Last year of Film School now, need to really hone my writing and direct another good short.
